The Carnival Radiance has been renamed to the Carnival Victory.
Carnival Victory Officially Renamed Carnival Radiance. The new name will be the Carnival Sunrise and it is scheduled to launch in 2020.
Carnival Cruise Line announced today that the Carnival Victory would now be known as Carnival Radiance.
After Carnival Sunshine (formerly Carnival Destiny) and Carnival Sunrise (formerly Carnival Triumph), the ship is currently the third of the Carnival Sunshine class.

In Cadiz, Spain, the Carnival Radiance is undergoing a $200 million bow-to-stern renovation. The ship is set to leave Cadiz on October 18 for a seven-week voyage to her final destination of Long Beach, California. She’ll make a stop in Miami along the route to run a Panama Canal transit cruise.
Radiance will make her southern California premiere on December 13, starting off a year-round program of three and four-night excursions to Baja Mexico from the Long Beach Cruise Terminal. On Fridays, three-night cruises will leave for Ensenada, Mexico. Monday sailings will leave from Ensenada and make stops at Catalina Island in California.
Carnival Radiance has all of Carnival’s famous Fun Ship 2.0 eating, drinking, and entertainment venues, as well as a new location, Shaquille O’Neal’s poolside restaurant Big Chicken, which debuted during Mardi Gras.

Carnival’s Italian restaurant Cucina del Capitano, the multi-purpose Liquid Lounge entertainment venue, and one of the fleet’s biggest Cloud 9 Spas will all be on board.

Once Carnival Radiance arrives at Long Beach, a customary (re)naming ceremony will be conducted.
The ship will dock in Long Beach alongside the Carnival Miracle, which will relocate to the southern California port on September 27 to conduct short excursions to Mexico. Also departing from Long Beach is Carnival’s newest ship, the Carnival Panorama, which offers seven-night cruises to the Mexican Riviera.
